We have our own digital version of an advent calendar this holiday season and it'll take us all the way up to New Year's Eve.
Here's how it works: Each day, a portion of a photo is posted. The photos will be taken from areas in Calgary's Centre City. If you need to check the parameters of the area, click here. The following day, we'll post the photo in its entirety, along with what it is and also its location - and then of course the new partial photo as well. We will focus primarily on art, architecture, monuments and interesting displays. It's meant to be a fun way to test your knowledge of the Centre City. And definitely make sure you post a comment if you think you can guess what the partial photos are of. The prize if you guess correctly? Well, the prize is the satisfaction of knowing you were right - and that you know our city really well!
Here's the full photo from yesterday's clue:
It's the statue of R.L. Boyle and his horse - a tribute to those Albertans who fought in the Boer War and its home is at the Central Memorial Park at 1221 2 ST SW Calgary.
Good job, Vadim, for guessing correctly!
Here's our clue for December 2nd:
Thank you, by the way for the compliments! We're having a great time with this as well.
