Just how well do you know your Centre City?
Recently, we started a new challenge here on the Centre City Talk blog. Each Monday, we post a section of a photograph taken somewhere in the Centre City (click here for parameters). The photos are meant to be a little more difficult for people to figure out, thus the title "Hidden Centre City". We're looking to showcase unique aspects of design, architecture and style found in the core. The photos will be from places we might not always get to in our day-to-day travels within the Centre City. It's meant to inspire us all to get out there and explore our Calgary a little more.
Here's the full photo from last week:

This super cool photo is of the indoor ceiling vents at the Uptown Stage and Screen located in the Barron Building (also referred to as Calgary's first skyscraper) at 610 - 8th Ave. SW. The vents are just a small part of the amazing art deco styling that makes this cinema so special to its many regular customers and also to the buildings' business tenants . Here's a great little write-up about the history of The Barron Building and also of "Jack" Barron who was a driving force in bringing theatre to Calgary.
And just in case you wanted to see more photos of the actual Barron building on the outside, you can click here.
Now for this week's clue photo. See if you can guess this one - and if you can, please make sure to leave us a comment.

Thanks for posting, Radley77! We'll reveal the answer on Monday.

I'm guessing those marbles make are a part of the *stained glass* public art in Prince's Island Park?!
