Calgary’s Centre City is an important area. Home to over 6,000 businesses, 34,000 Calgarians, over 25 public parks and hundreds of events - it’s the economic, cultural and social hub of our city.
The Centre City sits within the natural borders of both the Bow and Elbow Rivers to the north and east, and 17 Avenue South and 14 Street West. The area includes the Beltline, Chinatown, Downtown, East Village, Eau Claire, Stampede Park and Downtown West. Below is a Centre City map.
In 2007, Calgary’s City Council approved The Centre City Plan, a comprehensive and strategic long-term vision for the future of our Centre City. Since then, The City and its many partners have made a significant investment to implement the Plan and achieve its vision of a livable, thriving and caring core.
